Hotel Taypikala Cusco had clean nice room, healthy breakfast, cute garden, friendly staff. Its location was also nice. Hotel had elevator from lobby to rooms. Breakfast starts early which is convenient for early trips.

Great accommodation in a beautiful city! We were very comfortable, and close to shops and restaurants! Staff were great - a friend left her purse in the restaurant by accident and it end promptly returned to her! Great job!

Had two stays at this hotel during a GAdventures tour. The first room we had, room 204, had limited electrical outlets and the bathroom was undergoing repair. Also had lots of hallway and street noise.

The second room, 218, was much more modern but smaller. Better access to electrical outlets and right next to the elevator, with good views.

The wifi is good, as is the location. Staff is well trained and helpful.

Room Tip: Good location, but avoid rooms along the street, like 204.

Stayed here twice during our visit to the Sacred Valley as we did the Inca Trail in between. Lovely, traditional rooms - some with views of the Andes - and plenty of hot water. On the second visit the lock broke on the toilet door which was fixed promptly (we couldn't get in!). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and there was a chef cooking fresh omelettes every morning. Coca tea on tap in reception. Reception kept our luggage while we did the Inca Trail. 10 minutes walk from the Plaza de Armas and in a very safe location. What more can I say?! Highly recommended!

We were basically impressed with the service and staff and the restaurant was wonderful. The location is on a very narrow street so traffic is limited. There is a tiny bodega next door for reasonably priced water. The only problem was that we were on the third floor and there was no elevator. Since this was our first night in Cusco we were not yet acclimated to the altitude so the three story climb was like climbing Everest! Everything else was terrific!

Room Tip: Get a room on the first floor!
