Nice staff & great location

Review of Qosqo Hostal
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 31 May 2015via mobile
The hostel couldn't be better located. Everything you could possibly need is within a stones throw away. Plenty of restaurants, a supermarket next door, a pharmacy opposite , the cathedral a 2 min walk away. The hostel rooms are small & just enough to comfortably sleep. The toilet was clean which is very important. I didn't see any mould as one person complained. The only REAL problem was the noise. I'm a person who can sleep through lots and lots of noise but this was really too much at times. My window was facing a school & the kids would play basket ball & shout till 9pm. After this, on the weekends, noise from the street- music & partying poured into my room like it was a few meters away. This would go on till about 4-5 am! The breakfast was good & staff helpful. I couldn't connect to wifi from my room - 210 , probably because it was furthest from the reception. It worked at the reception perfect though.

The hotel is really worth because it's cheap and on the best place possible, just by the Plaza de Armas. The rooms are not the best, specially if you like your privacy, but it's pretty good! The staff is nice and breakfast is complete. I would totally stay here again!

We picked this place because of its location, but we only stayed one night just because we checked in after midnight. The reason for our departure was the mold in the grout between the shower tiles, and on the the bathroom ceiling. If you don't mind the mold and the strong dry dust stench, then its a good choice. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice too.

The place is in a great location...next to plaza de Armas. Our room had a small balcony facing plaza de Armas, comfortable bed and bathroom with hot water. The staff was super friendly specially Silvia. The breakfast was buffet style with nice assortment of food and juices. The only issue I had with the hotel was that it's super cold inside the hotel and rooms. If you don't mind the noise, get a room with a balcony facing plaza de Armas as it's views is beautiful. However if you are a light sleeper then choose a room in the back.

The hostal is located right next to Plaza de Armas. The staff was very friendly and helped us make all our tours arrangements. The rooms are a little old, but very clean. The only problems we found were the rooms can get real cold at night and there's some noise coming from the street, especially if you get rooms that are facing the street.

This hotel is in a great location. It is only a block or two from the plaza with lots of shopping, clubs, and restaurants around. It is right next to a church so you can hear singing and we even saw a wedding! There is breakfast every morning with a good variety. We did not have any problems with hot water or anything else. Very good option.
