Wonderful stay at Casa Andina!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 5 May 2024
Great location in the historic location of Cusco. The staff has been very accommodating from the front desk to all of the kitchen staff providing a wonderful breakfast. Margo is always cheerful welcoming you in the morning. I’ve been having some difficulty with the altitude and the staff provided me with oxygen.

Room Tip: If you have a room by the street, it can be very loud.

Casa Andina is wonderfully located and staff is very attentive and caring. Margot, Jacqueline, Ernesto and Natali make you feel at home. Breakfast was very good as well. My only complaint is that my room had no windows but room is very comfortable.

We only went for the breakfast buffet in the morning but it was delicious! The serving staff Margot and Flor were very attentive and kind! The food was always replenished in apt time and it was a lovely spread of food as well! We certainly didn't leave hungry!

The hotel was very good and a great breakfast served by Flor and chef Ronaldo got the eggs just right. Ernesto was very helpful. The only downside was the disco nearby so earplugs may be needed :) Very convenient for all the tours around Cusco and plenty of excellent restaurants close by.

Steps away from plaza de Armas. Room is spacious and clean. Staff, all of them , are very nice and considerate. Special thanks to Valerie,Klor, Nsigot,Thais. Valerio carried our luggage to room, a huge help for those just coming to Cusco of high altitude. Front desk and restaurant staff can speak English, a big plus.

It started as a pleasant stay , staff was initially quite friendly. It went all downhill when at the moment of check out I forgot a charger in the room. After a few hours I tried to reach out the hotel to ask if they had found it. No answer, I had to cut one of our tours short to make it back to the hotel and ask about it, to which I encounter a less friendly type of staff, they said they didn’t find anything, which is incredibly hard to believe since I remembered clearly had left it plugged over the left nightstand. When I expressed my frustration considering I expected a hotel like this to verify and keep high standard lost and found policy, they simply said they didn’t find anything. I wouldn’t have made such a fuss of it if I wasn’t 100% sure I left the charger there. After an hour of being at the hotel, my husband got a call claiming they will be able to give me a replacement charger from their Lost and Found, odd!
To which my husband accepted given the fact I was heading to the sacred valley and had nowhere I knew to buy a new charger. This ended up being even worse since the charger was useless, didn't work at all and for the past three days I was left with a phone with no battery and no charger, no way to take pictures or communicate with my family.
I understand that it was my responsibility to take my private effects from the room, but again only a few hours after I did expect much more from the hotel and especially from the staff in charge of housekeeping.
Such a disappointment!
