I stayed here two nights and had a swell time. I met lots of other solo travelers from all over the world! Everyone was nice, friendly, and up for an adventure. There is tasty and reasonably priced food at the bar above the hostel, very convenient if you are too tired to go out hunting for a good restaurant for dinner. The bar is always busy and the vibes are great, you can add any charges to your tab and pay at checkout. Would recommend for other solo travelers are groups of friends who are excited to mingle!

An amazing hostel. Communal areas, where there is lots of opportunity for socialising, and an awesome bar upstairs. The beds are great (I stayed in the private pod ensuite), and there are lockers. Also able to store your luggage for you when you head off for a trip, which is very useful. Tour organisers within the hotel, so you can head off to the Inca ruins, Rainbow Mountain, etc.

Room Tip: Go for the private pod ensuite - great.

In short
- dark / no windows
- no light in cupboard
- noisy (you hear the stairs and the bar)
- internal travel agency doesn't show interest in you
- check your bill
+ clean dorm bathroom
+ enough wallsockets & in the lockable cupboard
+ good beds
+ good blinds / curtains
+ beautiful building

Long:
Spend 3 nights here as a couple in dorm with with 4x (2x 2 stacked) double beds that has a bathroom ensuite. Beds are soft, and each of the beds have blinds/curtains to block the lights really well. Each bed has a double door cupboard which can be locked (needs 2 locks). There is no light in the cupboard. There are no windows in the room. There are 2 reading lights which can be directed on the ceiling, but it stays a bit dark. Also the reading lights need to be turned on at the head part of the bed, which makes it a bit unpractical.

Bathroom is spacious where the water temperature is hard to control. Toilet is clean, and included in the bathroom. Can be a bit wait time for bathroom(meaning also the toilet, but 2 meter from the room is another toilet).

Continental breakfast is average OK. Be early for fruit. Bar has different boardgames which you can borrow.

Building has a great ambiance, and there are many places where you can relax. WIFI sometimes breaks down for longer periods but when it's there, the speed is great (even with a lot of people on it).

The travel agency located in the hostel shows no interest in you at all. The ability to help us was not there at all. There is a folder with tours you can browse through. It does not show any prices though.

Laundry can be done and will be returned on the same day, keep in mind that your clothes will be dried as well which affects the lifetime of your clothes. It is 2x as expensive (6 soles to 2.5 soles somewhere else in the city) as others, but the packing looks professional and clothes are clean.

Reception is in general helpful (English and Spanish) it depends a bit from person to person.

When booked via booking.com check the price on your reservation vs the price they want you to pay. In their system our reservation was no where to be found with the result they charged us 10 USD per night extra (33% more than originally). Keep the original reservation with you during checkout. I've read on previous reviews we were not the only one who run into this. You can pay by CC when agreeing on 5% surcharge.

This must be the best hostel I've ever been to. Amazing and really helpful staff, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, clean bathrooms with hot water, quiet, nice sitting places everywhere...really enjoyed staying there. Can't recommend enough!
