This hotel is honestly one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in! It's an old Spanish-style villa located on one of the central streets of Arequipa, complete with a courtyard and old-style decor.
Given this is a historic building, my room was actually very modern. It was clean with a nice bathroom and comfy bed, if a little on the small side but it was fine for one person. As Arequipa is at a reasonably high altitude (~2,400 m which is when altitude sickness start to kick in) the have free communal Coca tea making facilities, given that it's supposed to be good for altitude sickness.
The breakfast was very nice in their historic dining area, not loads on offer but some nice bread, fruit, eggs, cake, tea/coffee etc. They also had freshly squeezed papaya and orange juice which was very nice.
Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, it's beautiful, the rooms are nice and it's in a central location. The only down side is that given the traffic is bad in Arequipa, it being central means it's difficult to get to. It's actually on a pedestrianised street so you have to walk a little whatever, but they have trolleys to transport your luggage for you. I stayed here on an organised tour so I don't actually know how much it cost, so I can't comment on its value for money.More
