We visited the Amazon rainforest as part of a Delphin cruise on a small ship (eight passengers). The boat was excellent, with a great staff and good food. We explored several areas and walked through the forest on several occasions. Our excellent naturalist pointed out birds and animals that were interested and nearly hidden from untrained eyes. We saw sloths, three types of monkeys, and more birds than I can count. The paths through the rainforest were well worn, but not too hard to manage. The ship provided us with boots so that we didn't get out shoes muddy. Overall, we had a great experience.

Great place to visit for a back to nature holiday. Saw amazing plants and animals. Did lots of walking in a humid climate but so worth it!

We had a 3 day Amazon tour with G Adventures after 4 day Inca Trail trekking. Amazon may give us an impression of survival tour and dangerous encounter to predators and I was fully prepared with malaria medication, Deet, cholera vaccine, etc... and it was definitely good for peace of mind. We saw tarantulas in their nest during night rainforest walk and a jaguar and Caymans from boat tour. Our guide Elvis appeared to be quiet, but he was a real jungle boy, spotting rare creatures and animals instead of just talking about them!
The lodges had no ceiling under the roof and we felt indescribable freedom in nature! We had an afternoon nap, listening to birds, insects and some monkeys, which was really comfortable and relaxing. As my friends and I are from Queensland, Australia, many trees and plants in rainforest are not that special, but there are a few interesting plants like the one you get bright purple colour dye from just a squeeze of a few green leaves. I was personally relieved because the tour was physically not too hard on us and it was rather relaxing instead.

We had a blast in the rainforest, spending a couple of nights at Treehouse Lodge, followed by a cruise on the Cattleya with several excursions into the jungle. The variety of plants and wildlife is amazing. A beautiful and wonderful place.

The lodge was nice, although rustic. We were met at the airport and all our travels needs were taken care of, including the trip back to the airport. The staff provided for all our needs, in fact, anticipated our needs. They were attentive to our safety. The room was spacious. There was plenty of food. The tour was amazing. We saw dolphins, cayman, monkeys, various snakes, frogs, insects and spiders. Our guide, Kid, had good English speaking skills. He arranged our tour around what we wanted to see. The location of the lodge was very pretty, quiet and peaceful for the most part. The only thing that was disruptive was the loud music into the early morning from the village next door.
