I picked this company as a result of reading reviews on Trip Advisor and the experience was as good or better than described. I was met at the cruise ship by Silvia on the last day of the cruise and taken to my hotel to drop off the bags. From there we drove around Valpariso in a like-new Mazda. We stopped at key sites, had a coffee at Cafe del Poeta and rode up a funicular. After 3 hours or so I was taken back to the hotel and then went out on foot with a very good understanding of the layout of the city. Silvia was very knowledgeable about the city and her country. It was a very relaxed tour.
The next day Juanita, a pediatrician, took me, with the same driver as the day before, out into the countryside and we were able to discuss all manner of things about Chile, living up to the theme of their company, cultural tourism. We spent some time at a beautiful vineyard in Casablanca, El Cuadro, where we had a tour of this very modern site and a wine tasting which was more of a lesson in tasting than just sampling the wine. This was followed by a mini rodeo that was very interesting.
From there I was delivered to the airport, 2 days before the earthquake.
Juanita and Silvia were very helpful and well informed about all aspects of Chilean life. The tour was superb and I would highly recommend their company to anyone interested in learning about the country. Juanita is very prompt in replying to emails from her Blackberry.
