The cable car offers great views of Santiago in all directions. Fog may reduce the sight of the mountains but it's still an enjoyable ride for about 4,000 per person round trip.

We went there during Easter holidays, going up by cable car. Cheap and funny experience. Lot of people there because of a mess. Spectacular views and probably the best place in Santiago.

First you can go by the funicular or the cable car or simply walk, what we did , it is not too hard to climb but if you’re not a walker just forget it . There is very good photos to do at the top , the Virgin Marie statue is the reward a little church , it is a good place to spend few hours.

We took the funicular to the top and then walked the rest of the way to the statue. It was a beautiful place, and we could really appreciate Santiago from here. A must-do for anyone visiting Santiago!

Get here early when it opens, so that you miss most of the queue for the railway up the hill.
About $2000-$2600 Chilean pesos for a return trip (depending whether it’s midweek or a weekend) Another $3000 if you also want to go on the cable car.
The views over the city are fantastic, as well as the church and statue at the top.
You can also walk / cycle up the hill, however it a steep climb!
