I've stayed three times so far at Los Españoles - in part because I love the neighborhood, in part because I love the hotel, which I have recommended to friends. A large buffet breakfast with excellent fruit and pastry is included in the price, and most of the rooms are enormous. I've stayed here with my teenaged daughter, and had a friend to visit and it wasn't cramped at all. But the best thing about it is the neighborhood: Bellavista, close to everything, just a ten minute walk to the metro through a lovely park and bridge. There is also parking if you like to drive. The tree-lined streets and easy access to the restaurants, nightlife is fine; you can also visit Neruda's house, the zoo, the Cerro San Cristobal. The privacy is excellent, with two different entrances and exits. Has a pleasant business center that doesn't get much use. And the staff, very friendly and efficient.

Room Tip: It's a big old mansion, very thick walls, converted into a hotel. You won't hear a sound fro...

Considering the price relative to other hotels in the area, this is a good hotel. It is quiet and comfortable with great service from all the staff. The front desk is quite capable in English, which was very helpful.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The room that we were in had large windows with plenty of sunshine. The air conditioner is propped into the window but was quiet and efficient; you just have to adjust the window drapes so that you do not block the air conditioner but still block the outside light. The windows can be opened.
The hotel is very well situated close to the Costanera mall, couple of metro stations, the riverfront park and restaurants. Breakfast was good. We did not use the hotel restaurant and bar. Don't know about a hotel gym.
The hotel is on the older side and looks like it was converted from a couple (or three) houses into one hotel. The rooms have been renovated but are still not the shine and gleam that the newer hotels offer - don't let this keep you away. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
The hotel fronts a busy street but the inside of the hotel is quiet.
The corridors could do with some freshening up; adding newer and brighter carpeting and lighting would certainly alleviate the dowdy appearance.
The wifi was generally good although it seemed to slow down every now and then.
We had an enjoyable stay.

A small hotel, nestled in a residential area, but a stroll to the modern shopping centre. The hotel decor is warm, the rooms modest but comfortable, perhaps needing a touchup here and there. The staff are outstanding, welcoming and helpful. Hope to return.

I was in town for businesses and stayed here because the Hilton where I usually stay is so far away from any good restaurant.
Rooms are ok, and not bad, it's a bit noisy during the week but nothing too bad.
Breakfast is included but is not that great, only some bread, cereal, it sort of a Continental breakfast.
Good about the hotel is that it is clean, very close to many restaurants, a mall and the Hard Rock.
Price is not that bad for the area, but I found out that there is another BW Los Españoles a few blocks from this one which its supposed to be newer.

I travel a lot internationall, and in its category, this hotel is exceptional for the quality of the property and the impeccable courtesy and attention of the staff. The location is charming, just a few blocks from major commercial activity, but quiet and safe.
