This would be a great place to visit while it's still standing. It soon will give way to the development of a modern city of Singapore. Reminiscence the close knitted good old kampong spirit. Wooden houses with zinc roof top. A lot of greenery.

We wanted to bring our kids there to see before its gone.

The kids didnt enjoy as much as we adults though.. brought back gd memories for my hub who used to stay in a kampung.

Should make a tripe there before its gone but also should not disturb the residents there.

Went there with my family. This place is not next to bus stop or MRT so we took taxi. You find houses from 50's and 60's along the dirt road. In Singapore where everything is usually so clean and well planned this place is something exceptional.

The last surviving village in Singapore, valiantly resisting development. Public transport just a short walk away. Few occupants left. Visit it before it is lost to another housing estate.

Excellent insight into the past. Such a shame to see the new development right up to the fence. We were lucky to meet and talk with the very gracious landowner. Very glad we went.
