Excellent family picnic spot ! 45min ferry ride from Marina South pier. Lot of huts to sit and eat. Tranquil beach. One big pagoda. ideal getaway for family and friends. Take everything as there are no shops.

I know about Kusu Island is from google, when i looking for beach at Singapore. Than, i looking for some information from Tripadvisor and other blogs.

To get Kusu Island you just take the MRT to to the Marina South Pier Station, than buy the ticket, it's about 18$ and you can visit St. John Island and Kusu Island. Make a plan if you want to visit both islands, because there's scheduled ferry. It's different schedule between weekdays and weekend.

When you have arrive at Kusu Island you can find calm situation here. Many trees, waves and water sounds will make you streesless, i think hehehe... Oh ya, there's no food or drink stall here, you must bring it from Singapore.

Just enjoy your time, with take many pictures here, play at the beach, pray, or maybe make a wish, by throw some coins into the centre of the pond.

Find the other side of Singapore here...

An extremely peaceful island. A nice little beach by the side and a temple and a Shrine for devotees. We took the ferry from Marina South Pier and it was worth going there to spend some time away from the hustle and bustle of the Singapore city.

Probably there is something religiously interesting there. But we wanted to have beach trip to st.Jones island which is nearby. The ferry to st.Jones was not operating that day and we went to Kusu instead. 4 hours wasted, misty in queue to ferry. Not worthy to go

I visited Kusu Island on a Saturday early morning during the Kusu Pilgrimage month (9th Lunar calendar month).

Drove there and was still able to find a car park lot right at the Pier. Bought the ferry ticket at the temporary ‘container’ counter and vista $18 for one adult ticket. I caught the first ferry out from Marina South Pier at around 6.05am and arrived in a jiffy at around 6.30am. The weather was good and ride was rather smooth early in the morning.

I offered prayers at the temple and shrine as with many other devotees at this time of the year. Good to bring small notes for donations. I spent around one hour offering prayers at the temple and Shrine. The visit to the Shrine is a must and be prepared to climb 152 steps all the up the hill.

Many devotees come here annually to seek blessings for Longevity, Wealth, Tranquility (physical health and peace of mind), Love of virtue and fulfillment of Destiny.

There are several food and drinks stalls on the island. Also come with clean wash room and many resting areas. The island is very clean and there are proper paved footpath to explore the island.

I left at around 8.05am and the ferry arrived at mainland Singapore at about 8.30am. It was a relaxing and enjoyable trip to get away from the main island for a short while and I am looking forward to return next year.
