“Take time to stroll through the gardens”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

We have visited Singapore three times and each time have strolled through the gardens as an antidote to long flights and the bustling city. Although busy it is possible to find space away from the crowds although we would advise not visiting the Orchid garden when the coaches roll in. It is much more peaceful and enjoyable without the noisy coach parties.

We also enjoy a coffee in the botanic gardens cafe after our walk around.

we find it a relaxing green space to visit before or after long flights. It is good to stretch our legs and enjoy the traffic free environment.

“If you like gardens, this, this is a great visit.”

Visit the orchid garden within the Botanics. Worth the $5 entry and I recommend it to any of my visitors. Visit in morning or late afternoon near 5pm. It's often scorching hot in Singapore!

“Amazingly beautiful and peaceful”

Well Singapore is not about shopping after all. The botanical garden is a must visit place in Singapore. Its very peaceful and beautiful. You can spend hours here just walking and enjoy the garden. This is one of the stops if you take the hop on hop of bus. Very convenient

“A Green Oasis in the Middle of the City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2012

If you like tropical greenery, The Botanic Gardens should be your first stop in Singapore. The grounds are lovely, with various environments -- rainforest, lawns, ponds and more. The trees, shrubs and flowers are abundant and well cared for.

The highlight of a visit will be the National Orchid Collection, the world's largest group of orchids. Most of them are in the ground; the number of varieties and the way the plants are in masses of single colors is spectacular. It's a must see!
