This was a very nice hotel. very good situation, close to Chinatown and Outram Park MRT stations. The 63 bus to Outram Park stops at the bus stop a short walk away.
The doorman was most accommodating, as was the friendly receptionist.

Room Tip: Small, but all I needed

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights last month, check-in experience was good and the lady at the reception Julie was very helpful with all the formalities. The real struggle started when you entered the room which is not only small but very dull and dark. Bathroom was another joke as you have to stand diagonally in front of the basin coz half space is occupied by the door (not sure how can they do this kind of mistake).

Location wise it's good and Tiong Bahru MRT station was just 8-10 minutes walk from the hotel.

It's a nice hotel but definately not worth the price you pay, you can easily get better options at this price point.

Dear Madam/ Sir,
Thank you for taking your valuable time schedule to write us the feedback about our hotel.
We are sorry to hear that Hotel Nostalgia is not up to your expectation.
As for your concern about the particular room size, with an additional charge guest could upgrade to a larger one upon availability. Our rooms are furnished with quality bedding & linens, the amenities are paraben free products and each room is local designer work of arts. Each rooms have minimum of 3x double bulb down light, 3x spot light, 2x night light .
However thank you or your recognition of our staff associates and the location.
Nevertheless we are continuing to improve in all areas of the hotel for the comfort and satisfaction of our guest.
On behalf of the management, staff & owner of Hotel Nostalgia, we regret that Hotel Nostalgia is not up-to your expectation.

Upon arriving to the hotel, we were hit with a very strong artificial fragrance that was pumped through the ventilation of the hotel. Rather than being refreshing, it triggered my allergies. We were given two keycards and upon arriving found that neither worked. After heading back down to get these changed, we then got into room (309) which was compact at best and required us to maneuver around one another to get to the bed/bathroom. It is best suited for a single bed.
There was only one plug point next to the kettle and none by the bedside table. Only one side of the bed had a bedside table whilst the other side was against the wall. Once you put your luggage in the room there is literally no space. Its extremely claustrophobic and fortunately we were only there for one night.
There was a clock in the room but it was unplugged, to plug it in i had to get under the table which had not been vacuumed in a very long time, causing my allergies to worsen. The bathroom was again very small. If you put a bathmat on the floor, opening or sitting the shower door moved the bathmat. Again, you couldn't open the bathroom door if you were stood on the bathmat. The shower stall seals were moldy and in need of a good douse of bleach. The bath towel had ripped seams and was full of holes! It could only serve a purpose as a rag rather than a towel. For a 4 point hotel, this is disgraceful. More so since it was awarded the traveller's choice and certificate of excellence!
We were offered a discount voucher for the bar but it was only applicable for food. We sat there to have a drink and on a Friday night the bar closed at 11pm.
We spent a great number of air-miles points to book this room and I feel it was a complete waste. The only saving grace was the receptionist who was very friendly and polite.

Dear Madam/ Sir,
Thank you for taking your valuable time schedule to write us the feedback about our hotel.
We are sorry to hear that Hotel Nostalgia is not up to your expectation.
As for your allergies to fragrance etc. we are not aware of it and we do not install any fragrance device in the room nor at the corridor area.
As for your concern about the particular room size, with an additional charge guest could upgrade to a larger one upon availability. All of our rooms are equipped with at least 5 power plug and one universal plug out of it. As for the vacuuming under the the night table, house keeping department has been taking care of it.
Nevertheless we are continuing to improve in all areas of the hotel for the comfort and satisfaction of our guest.
On behalf of the management, staff & owner of Hotel Nostalgia, we regret that Hotel Nostalgia is not up-to your expectation.

Great hotel - really friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms with A/C, very nice little bar and breakfast area too. The location is great as it is in the heart of Tiong Bahru - a very pleasant area of Singapore. Highly recommended.

The staff were great; they were very helpful with all our heavy luggage and our repacking. The hotel was pretty nicely done up but for the price the size of the room and the cleanliness of the hotel could have been better.
