“Small rooms but very good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2012

The staff of the hotel is very friendly and willing to help you. They explain how to get to places you want to visit. Our fligh left at 0:00 and we could use their specious toilet to refresh before leaving to Airport.

The rooms are clean although the minor point is that our deluxe room was very small. My girlfriend and I had to pack our lugage in shifts because otherwhise there was not enough space to move.

A very good hotel when you have to stay one or two nights in Singapore!

Room Tip: Deluxe room was small. Search Agoda.com for a good deal

If you like indian culture and food, living in this hotel is great.
If you want to buy things or eat after mid-night,living in this hotel is very nice because there is 24 hour store and different indian and chinese food nearby.
Moreover, the staff here are very nice, especially a staff called Jane. She really helps me a lot, telling me where to have the great local lunch and dinner. ( better than tour books)
If you are traditional chinese or don't like spicy breadfast i won't suggest you.
But if you like explore other culture, it is good for you.
Althought i am a chinese, i still think this hotel is very nice.

Ok, so we stayed there with family & inlaws for 3d, The rooms were ok.. not that great .. not that bad either BUT the location is just terrible especially after 7pm, you might find drunkers sleeping around near the hotel on the road side which was very disturbing. I couldnt let my wife walk the road along. I've stayed at other locations in Singapore couldnt spot a single dirty road but Little India is worst than India. The Breakfast is also not that great. :(
If possible stay at other Santa Grand Hotel and stay away from Little India

I really struggled to find anything in Singapore that was budget but wasn’t a dorm hostel – I’m not sure I entirely found it!!

There’s nothing wrong with this hotel itself. The room was modern, clean and just about spacious enough for one person (it was a single room).

My main concern was the location (yes I know this in the title of the hotel!) and breakfast:

Little India is made out as a cool trendy area to visit when in Singapore. That might be the case but you don’t really want to be staying there – it is just a small part of India (albeit a slightly cleaner and more modern part of India!). You’ve come to Singapore to see the City not a small part of India. Plus, and this is me just being lazy, you have to change twice on the metro to get there from the airport – sorry very picky but important when you have an early morning flight!!

The breakfast was APPALLING. Firstly, you have to go to the restaurant next door and secondly the bloke just looked at me and muttered something about toast (which I sort of acknowledged) and then 2 soggy pieces of “toast” appeared with some form of honey in them along with 2 slices of cucumber with ketchup on them – not quite what I was expecting!! I asked if that was it and the guy looked at me like I should be grateful for the limp toast!

Brand new budget hotel almost all facilities are there, wifi, tea/ coffee is available in room. Rooms are very clean and staf is very supportive speacially Mrs. Jane Pang, she is very friendly, Hotel is located on very busy street Indian/Pakistani food is available and ideal location for shopping. Mustafa center is located just back on the street opens 24hours. I would love to come again with my family to make holidays.
