I stayed here (the Boat Quay hostel, not the Dunlop Street one) for a few nights in a private room. Overall this place was great. The room was comfortable and clean, wifi was strong, staff were very friendly, food at the bar downstairs was great and reasonably priced.
Would've been great if they'd cleaned the private bathroom a bit more often. However, when I informed one of the staff that it could've done with a cleaning, they made sure this was done right away so it was fine.
The street behind the backpackers looked a little bit dodgy but it wasn't too big of an issue since Singapore is a relatively safe place.
Prince of Wales Boat Quay is very close to a train station and walking distance from some shops, lots of restaurants, bars, clubs and things to do around the Boat Quay/Clarke Quay area. Overall, the atmosphere was good and I really enjoyed my stay there.
