The facilities were disappointing and staff needs more training. 1. The bathroom stunk, smelled like sewage. Made it feel like it was not thoroughly cleaned 2. Although only a year old, the hotel is not well maintained: a. bidet holder almost falling off/loosely screwed, b. cracks on the wall/paint almost chipping, c. pool water cloudy/not clear 3. Went for a swim after we checked in at around 4pm and when we requested for towels, there weren't any available as their laundry has not been delivered yet. 4. No phones available in the room to call Front Desk. 5. Front desk staff seemed to forget most of our requests (e.g. I informed the before hand that we have an additional guest but the extra bed has not been set up in the room even though we already checked in late, staff forgot to give us extra towels, we also requested for air fresheners for the bathroom but were not given any). For ~P9,000.00/night this hotel is clearly not worth it!!
Only positives were: Great location, less than 5 minute car ride from Lio Airport (Perfect if you are flying via Airswift). Food at the restaurant was good. We ordered Kare-Kare and Bagoong Rice. Breakfast was also okay. Liked that the Exec. Chef oversees the breakfast preparations, he visited to check on food, his staff and the guests. Good service as well from Casa Kalaw restaurant staff!More
