This resort is very beautiful - however is simply not managed properly. The rooms are spacious and very nice, the gardens are lovely also. However there was alot of disappointment. The resort advertises high speed wifi.. however its slower then dial up internet and only available in the bar area.

The free breakfast provides only four limited options... and its not great. Any food you order.. prepare to wait a while. A long while.

We went with a group of eight.. when checking out they maintained that one of the rooms hadn't been paid for and we had to show proof of payment.. and you can imagine the difficulty in providing that with no wifi.

The basic luxuries of resort life are simply missing in this resort. No service to pool area.. you constantly have to call someone over and they act like you bothered them.

The cleaners leave the room doors open while cleaning and our room was just filled with spiders and mosquitoes every night. Even after I told them that this was the case.

It's a shame that these things occured because the potential of this resort is massive.

We saw the owner several times in the bar area however not once were we approached or asked how our stay was going.. which basically proves that customer service or satisfaction is obviously not a priority.

The location of the hotel was for us very convenient. We rented scooters and explored El Nido and the surrounding beaches like this. Corong Corong beach and a very pleasant bar for sunset are just 1 minute walking distance away. Our room was spacious and a delicious breakfast served outside every morning. Safe did not work but did not bother us.

Agreed that this place does not yet live up to its entire potential. There are still many things to improve, for example the Wifi. Considering paying 140 USD per night this is a must. We did not book a room and ,,walked in,, and were friendly told by the receptionist that it might be cheaper to book online. Very kind of her but without wifi useless. Anyway, we booked directly but were not told that there will be a 7% surcharge when paying by credit card. This has to be said at the beginning somehow.

We still rate this place 4 points as the staff helped us out a lot with organizing island hopping and a car to Puerto Princesa. Very reasonable prized just as all the other vendors and boatmen along the beach who will ask you for trips. Just book with the hotel.

With only 8 cottages, you can expect exclusivity, security and privacy. Perfect location since it's accessible but far from the noise and discord of the town center. There is a beach within walking distance where you can marvel at the amazing sunset. Housekeeping is efficient as well as the front desk. One thing that can be improved is the lighting outside the cottage since the bats prefer to do number 2 there.

This is the typical example of a person that has the money to build a hotel but has NO BLINKING IDEA of how to manage it.
It is a very small hotel with a few rooms canvas style (8 I think) which are very nicely done same as the common areas, with a nice pool, wooden deck and restaurant....
But the service... HORRIFIC
And don't get me wrong, the personal is nice, smiley and attentive, but they lack of training and do the best they can.
In the rooms you have a kettle to boil water, but no options of tea nor coffee, just little thought on making the amenities a bit better, which cause no extra money to the hotel and give a better impression to the guest.
The pressure of the water in the showers could definitely be improved!
At the restaurant, you seat down and an hour can easily go by before any of the servers notice you are there seating and waiting for the menus, so you have to call their attention several times... and after you have ordered the two fried eggs... you probably have time to go island hopping and return and they still won't be ready...and when they serve the breakfast is cold, and you have to ask for salt and pepper repeatedly times!
The best part, is the owner is usually there seating behind you watching the life go by and doing N-O-T-H-I-N-G! I believe the guys has no interest on making his business better or for sure has zero hotel experience and that is why the service is so bad in this place.
We asked twice for at the front desk to change a bigger bill for smaller ones and their response was to go to the store to get change, which we felt a bit insulted!
It is a beautiful place, yes, buy the bad service and careless attitude of the management makes it a NO RETURN place...
Oh! and the WI-FI... they should better the routter off and say they have no wi-fi available, we know Internet in the Philippines is painfully slow, but there is not even slow, there is just no internet...

We stayed one night in May 2017. Between 4/5 stars but will give 5 as there is not that much quality competition in El Nido.

+++Villa standard, shower, pool, close to the beach
---Breakfast staff, breakfast, wifi

Nice villas in a high standard, 1 minute walk from the beach (100m). High standard of accommodation, probably best shower (pressure, water temperature) we experienced in the Philippines!
Staff at the reception great, not so much during the breakfast.
Good well maintained pool. Breakfast OK, but not anything special.
Poor WiFi
