Book this with your kids and their friends- or with a group of friends yourself...you will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and the kids will have a ball making ceramics- not to mention how much fun you will have if you join in.

Brought my family of 2 kids (age 8 & 13) to the gallery and workshop in Depok on a Saturday afternoon. Took us about 1.5 hrs fr Jakarta city to reach there by car using GPS. Lovely greenery greeted us when we arrived. Remembered to apply mosquito repellant though. Entrance fee is 10000R Had a simple traditional Indonesia lunch. The fee for the workshop is 140000R inclusive of a slab of clay, a drink and a goreng pisang dessert. We managed to make almost 20 pieces of ceramic ornaments with 4 slabs of clay. Have to leave them there for fire and coloring. Able to collect at their Setiabuti branch after three weeks. Everyone enjoyed the workshop very much. You don't really need any skills to be able to do it as there's people there to guide you and help to make your finishing pieces more beautiful. Something different from the usual shopping and eating in Jakarta and you get to keep the ornaments you made.

If you love beauty, this is the place to go. Beautiful clay ceramics and statues, beautiful seating area, beautiful homey house. I dare you to come here and not buy anything they sell.

I came to Widayanto ceramic house in Jakarta (Setia Budi) and Depok (Tanah. Baru) a few time. Widayanto ceramic house in Depok is more bigger than ceramic house in Jakarta. It surrounded by the lush greenery and pollutant ion free air (indeed). You can take your kid to make ceramic there and guided by the expertise ceramic artists. You could also enjoy some cuisine there. High heels is not recomanded here. Just use comfortable shoes to explore this house. There is a souvenir shop here too, so you can buy a beautiful handmade ceramic bells or mugs to name a few.
