“Great English breakfast after a long night”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 January 2012

It’s very busy and tables are densely packed-in, so be prepared to wait a bit. Their English breakfast is just what the Doctor ordered after a long night out. A gem.

“Fantastic Western Breakfast in Hong Kong”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 December 2011

There are some days when you wake up craving some delicious comfort food for breakfast. Pancakes. Eggs Benedict. Bacon. A bottomless cup of coffee. For those days, there is no better place to head in Hong Kong than the Flying Pan.

My wife and I have found ourselves here on many mornings, and never once regretted the decision. Most of the breakfast plates come with a choice of juices and side items, and most are quite good. I especially like the grits, although you can attribute at least part of that to the novelty of finding a bowl of grits in the middle of Hong Kong.

My only warning to my fellow diners is that the buttermilk biscuits are a little dry. While this may be and advantage for those of you that bury your biscuits under a pile of gravy, I for one like my biscuits sans gravy, and thus find them a bit tough.

They are open 24 hours a day, with the expected weekend crowds, whereas during the week in the morning you might find yourself to be the only customer there.

Overall, a fantastic place that we find ourselves at on a regular basis; if you need a western breakfast in Hong Kong you can't go wrong with the Flying Pan.

“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 December 2011

We had read about this place as a great, reasonable breakfast place in the LKF area. We were returning to hotel late one evening and decided to give it a try. We had Belgian waffles with strawberries and juice. It was a great meal. The manager from Nepal was very friendly and talked with us a lot and was very helpful with giving us information about the city. They are open 24 hours and it is located right under the mid cities escalator in the LKF area.

“mediocre 24 hour breakfast in Wanchai”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2011

the service is fairly good but the breakfasts are very average with low-grade juices and the cheapest breads.

it is a convenient location with edible food if you have a craving for a western style breakfast or sandwich.

“Great American breakfast 24/7!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2011

My husband and I just happened to pass by this restaurant on our way to Victoria Harbour on our first day in Hongkong in 2009. And, we were even making jokes because of its funny name, however, we went inside anyway as we were starving from that long delayed flight.

To our surprise, we were full and satisfied after having breakfast as they serve great variety of meals at very affordable price. From French toast, waffle, bacon n eggs, to fruits, juice, hot chocolate, coffee, and more!

No wonder the place was jam packed with people. It is just a tiny place between Old Bailey and Staunton streets. You won't get lost because they have this really big signage if you'll just look up. They also have another branch located in 88 Lockhart Road,Wan Chai area, which I've heard is spacious enough yet still jam packed!
