“Great place for kids and adults”
Reviewed 15 May 2012

I was with my wife in May 2012, 9 months old baby and sister. We enjoyed our visit and it was great for the amount we paid. Everything was organizedf well! the parade was the best.... we enoyed taking the pictures with all cartoon charactors. Staff is friendly too..
It's very easy to take the MTR from anywhere in HK, MTR system was great and fast, this will avoid difficulty of explaining to taxi drivers.

Our third stay at the Hotel within the past 18 months. The hotel grounds are immaculate. The swimming pool complex is fantastic for families, and the rooms are great. We enjoyed a surprise upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite on the 7th floor, which was over-the top luxurious. The only criticm is the limited food selection, somewhat high prices, and slow service in the restaurant. If you want to have the character breakfast, plan to spend 1.5-2 hrs. Otherwise, take the shuttle bus to Hollywood Hotel and eat there.

This was our first trip to Hong Kong and we made the most of the 8 nights. Staying at the Hong Kong Disney was the start of a memorable holiday. From the time we arrived at night till the afternoon when we left, we never stopped feeling special. We had a room overlooking the gardens and it was very comfortable, we would start each day with breakfast down stairs where we would be greeted by a staff member who would show us to a table and produce hot tea or coffee, had to train them to fill the cup and not give us a cup with the tide out, they quickly learnt and it became a bit of a joke each morning, all went towards making a happy start to the day.

The hotel is only a 15 minute walk down a very pleasant pathway to Disneyland or you can catch the free shuttle, most days we would walk down and then catch the bus back. The train station is only a couple of minutes further on and for HK$55 you can get a 24 hour ticket and go everywhere, we did this on two days, just hop on and off when we felt like it. On the other days we caught the train into town to go to the different tourist places, very clean trains and only about 10 minutes between trains.

Given how far out from HK the hotel is they don’t rip you off, a can of coke was the same price as down town and the food from the restaurant was excellent. We did make pigs of ourselves and to hell with the waist line by going down stairs to the smorgasbord, what a treat, ended up going back on our last night, yep, it took a bit to return to my normal trim, taught and terrific shape ;)

Price, well if you are coming this far then you might as well enjoy it, its well away from all the smog and noise of downtown and more relaxed than what we saw at the motels in Kowloon & HK and very nice to come back to at the end of a long day. We are saving to come back to HK again and we will be staying here and getting a three day pass to Disneyland.

This was our 3rd visit to HK Disneyland hotel, and as we had a rather long stay of 5 nights with our four kids, this time we decided to try out the Kingdom Club. It was a fantastic decision! Yes, the rooms cost quite a bit more than the regular floors, but it was more than worth it:

- nice free breakfast in the club lounge (much more relaxed than the madness in Enchanted garden, great selection of hot & cold food)
- cookies and drinks, snacks all day for hungry kids, wine & beer for parents at 6pm (there is nowhere to buy snacks nearby, so this was a huge plus), fireworks viewing from the small balcony
- bedtime story, THEN, Mickey or Minnie come to say goodnight in their PJ's
- crafts/activities throughout the day
- Princesses visit the lounge in the morning too - also great if you see the queues at the park for this!

You could also check in/out upstairs, buy tickets and get concierge service at the lounge, which was very convenient as there were always lines at the lobby. They can also book hotel restaurants for you, a must as the Enchanted Garden always fills up!

Room Tip: Go for the Kingdom Club!

For those young and young at heart, the Disneyland Hotel is the perfect choice when visiting Disneyland in Hongkong. Our family of 5 stayed for 3 days 2 nights last April, in time for my granddaughter's 12th birthday. It was a surprise gift to her, and boy, was she surprised. We had 2 Kingdom Club rooms and we had access to the club lounge. It's definitely worth the extra bucks, the choices for breakfast were delicious, plus we would go there for our snacks, drinks and free wifi access. They even offer a free 5 minute massage, and there were coloring activities to keep the kids busy. The only flaw was that the princesses weren't scheduled to visit on all the days we were there, which was the one of the reasons I chose to upgrade to the Kingdom club rooms. Oh well. The huge chandeliers are an awesome sight. The jazz band playing in the afternoons were good. The pianist was playing some Disney tunes. Of course we also had 2 days in the Disney Park, but it was rainy on all the days we were there so we had the chance to enjoy the hotel a bit more too. The garden view of the maze and of the hotel from our balcony made all of us go oooohhhhh. Highly recommended, but be warned! It is indeed pricey.

Room Tip: The Kingdom Club rooms and suites are a must for those who can afford it.
