“Guest rooms overdue for a complete refresh”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2012

My wife and I stayed here in mid March 2012 after a six year absence. Although the views, service, restaurants, gym, spa, location, and public spaces are still wonderful, the guest rooms remained unchanged from six years ago. In this I am including the carpets, bed, mattress, pillows, drapes, furniture, etc. Frankly the room looked and felt quite worn out to us.
For state of the art, fresh feeling rooms we definitely recommend the Peninsula in Kowloon over this Four Seasons.
I hope in the near future this FS location will announce a complete room refurbishment schedule.

This property has not just the view and location to add to its many plus points, but the decor, efficient staff and the personal touch they render is remarkable too! From helping out with a lost key to booking reservations at restaurants, the staff was eager to help and very pleasant. The selection of fruits in the room and the sumptuous breakfast - made the trip so much more relaxed. Definitely visiting again.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top levels have an amazing view

Was delighted to see Nescafe booths everywhere so you can make your own coffee now, complete with take away cups in the foyer. The hotel is so well positioned next to Central for business travellers it is ridiculous. I looked at staying at The Mandarin for something different but they are still building that highway right out front so The Four Seasons view is always going to be better given their location and height. The gym was well patronised at 6am when I got there but there were plenty of treadmills and cross trainers and lovely coffee's and juices for afterwards. I can't fault this hotel.

Room Tip: Harbour and peak view are both nice...don't worry too much, you won't be disappointed.

The Four Seasons in Hong Kong is easily one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed at, although it is on the expensive side.

The standard of service from all the staff was excellent. All the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. This place really sets the gold standard.

Our room was excellent, no faults at all. DVD player, ipod dock, very nice toiletries etc etc.

The breakfast buffet selection is very good and we had an excellent lunch at the Michelin starred Lung King Heen restaurant.

Gym and pool facilities were excellent. The gym was very well equipped and spacious.

Massive spa facilities, with a sauna and steam room.

It's located next to the IFC mall, making it very convenient in terms of public transport and for shopping.

The only small fault that I can think of (nit picking now) is that considering it's location on the waterfront, a rooftop bar on the top floor (instead of on the ground floor) would have meant amazing cross harbour views.

Brilliant hotel definitely worth saving up for.

This is easily the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere. It is shamelessly expensive but well worth it for that once in a lifetime treat. It was a special birthday for me and a birthday cake and card turned up - I had not told them but obviously they scan their passport registrations to see if anyone is celebrating a birthday. A nice touch. The service was impeccable and seamless from check in at the hotel to departure check in at the airport. However, it was not overbearing or fawning but very subtle. We noticed that we never saw a cleaning trolley at any time during our stay and we were there for six nights. I can't speak too highly of the hotel, it really is very special.

Room Tip: Always good to have a harbour view room. If you are paying a lot anyway, it is worth paying the ext...
