The most amazing view in the evening time :) Went there with taxi but you should definately also try the tram to go back. It might take some time though as there are many people in line waiting.

You can go up to higher point of Hong Kong Island and look down almost the whole Hong Kong. One of the high class place on Hong Kong Island.

If you dont want to pay too much on enjoying the view, just go to old peak located next to the mall. You can also take walk through the peak circle.

To avoid long queue on the way up to the peak using the tram, you can take bus no 15 from IFC mall. It takes a bot longer time but you can enjoy the ride. On the way back down then you can take the tram.

There are many ways to get to the peak – we were recommended to take a ferry from Kowloon and then tram to the peak. Ferry was fast, easy and very cheap. From ferry terminal (called “Central”) it was around 25 minutes walk to the tram station – not bad, plus you can see some attractions on your way and take good pictures. Do not worry if you might get lost – there are clear signs on the streets. Tram was an experience – a bit scary but worth a try! When buying a ticket, consider paying a bit extra for the viewing terrace, otherwise you will not get a view at all.

On the peak there is a viewing terrace, a madame Tussauds museum, and a numerous shops and restaurants. There is a fantastic view from the terrace in a sunny day. During our visit it was a bit foggy, but still I have got a few good pictures. We didn’t try the restaurants, but those looked quite full. Shops are overpriced, for example the souvenirs you can get at least 50% cheaper on Nathan Road.

Getting back by tram is the cheapest way (return ticket costs just a bit more that one way) and it’s faster than a bus. Taxi is quite fast, but too scary (much more than a tram!) plus a bit pricy since you have to pay also for the tunnel.

We took the Central escalator to midlevels until the end, then walked along the Old Peak Road to the Peak. The walk was quite steep but well sign-posted and paved. We relaxed at the Peak Lookout with some drinks, then walked back down the Peak taking Findlay Road, Barker Road, Magazine Gap Road back down to Central. We estimate the total walking time was around 3 hours. View was excellent and the walk quiet and enjoyable.
