From the moment of check in at the former holding cells reception area till the check out, is a truly enjoyable experience. The appointed suite is roomy, with excellent beddin and lots of good aminities, free Wifi and large bathroom. The hotel features only nine rooms, so at any given time any guest get all the attention. Staff are all professional and courteous. The former police station (built in 1902) has breathtaking views over the bay and towards Tai O. We took dinner at the LookOut, with delicious food prepared with local items, so famous to Tai O. The breakfast is a real germ and so well presented, all with good service. The hotel is ideal for weekend breaks and to have a romantic time. For the price paid, you get much in return.

Room Tip: All the nine rooms are unique

Very special experience at the Tai O hotel. All staff was on the ball, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of. Restaurant food was superb! Breakfast and dinner was so delicious and the food temperature was just right!

Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated rooms with a wonderful view over the bay. The hotel's history is really interesting and the views at sunset are spectacular. We stayed in a room on the upper floor and would recommend this. Breakfast in the Look Out was very tasty. Well worth a visit.

A real treat and fantastic value for money. Would recommend one night half board and tour package. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are after a relaxing break from the busyness of Central Hong Kong.

The hotel affords the discerning visitor a unique experience to relish the past glory of the imposing building whilst enjoying the present-day modern facilities and majestic vistas. A tour of the site including the holding cell is a must!
