When you arrive at the hotel you can not fail to be impressed by the grand entrance. The desk service and check in was a smooth process although we did have to wait nearly an hour for our luggage even after it was stated that this would be in our room waiting for us.
The view from the upper platform over the harbour is spectacular day or night and is worth a visit even if you are not staying at the hotel.
The room which was an upgraded harbour view superior was ok. Not the largest and could certainly do with a makeover (slightly dated). The shower and bathroom however, where excellent.
Breakfast was a very nice buffet affair.
The swimming pool however, was very cold and in almost total shade all day. It was also probably the most lonely place on the planet as in 4 days we never saw it in use...
The lower bar was not only very expensive but lacked in any form of life or atmosphere.
Overall promised so much in the brochure but delivered average.More
