Huge facility located in the center of Beijing, near the Forbidden City. We didn't see a performance, only to visit the facility and take some amazing photos outside.

If you're already in Tiananmen Square vicinity and you have time, drop by the Egg (National Center for the Performing Arts) for a quick photo stop.

I can't say much about this place since we didn't go inside. It's a nice addition to your numerous Beijing photos.

Been there a few times. Very impressed by the architecture inside and outside. High-quality performance. This time we watched Russian ballet: Anna Karenina by Boris Eifman. Absolutely beautiful.
One can get in to get a glimpse of the inside the splandid lobby without watching the performance.

Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to attend a concert or opera in this impressive modern building, so cannot say anyrhing about accoustics etc, but already the external look is stunning. We definitely plan to visit a performance there when we are next time in Beijing.

The architecture is stunning both inside and out. While the entry is expensive, the centre also has excellent exhibitions. When I was there, there was one with artifacts from Shannxi and another that had costumes, posters and sets from operas performed there. Both were excellent.

The centre is easy to get to by subway, with the southwest exit of Tiananmen West station going directly into the box office foyer.
