Hotel is a short 5-minute walk to Wangfujing pedestrian shopping street. Rooms and bathrooms are on the small side but otherwise clean and has the basic necessities. Front desk staff seem a bit harried.Breakfast has good variety for the price. (Best to be at the breakfast area on or before 7:15 as the place easily fills up.) There's a 7-11 just across the street and St. Joseph's Church is a 5-minute walk.
Police vans and personnel along Wangfujing Street were a reassuring sight. Except for one incident wherein we saw a man apprehended by police, everything else appeared safe for the largely tourist crowd. The street is for shopping for high-end brands but if you want to see something different, turn right at one of the side streets and you'll find yourself at the snack street. (It has some sort of a welcome arch, easy to find.) This is where you'll find all those skewered scorpions (mind you, they are still alive, therefore moving their appendages), worms, insects, sea horses, sea stars, etc. Great for picture-taking but I didn't chance upon anyone willing to try them. There are also edible stuff like skewered lamb meat, fruits, noodles, etc.

Good location directly off wangfujing street there are several train stations within a 10min walk , welcoming staff with a good level of English and a decent breakfast buffet. The rooms were spacious too. Would stay here again.

We had a difficult time finding the hotel. Google map did not provide the correct location. The hotel is located at the North end of Wangfujing. Rooms were ok, bathroom is starting to show wear. Beds are small by American standards. Wifi was surprisingly fast. Do not eat down in the cafe, we ate a late night dinner on the first night, worst meal of the trip. Close enough to the metro station to walk.

Big clean rooms. Great breakfast, excellent location and very fast wifi.

Beds are rather hard and also to bug pillows. A church bell rings evry 15 minutes, but apart from this, it was very quiet.

5 minutes to metro and very near east nanjing road and the bund.

We stayed as a party of 4 in two double rooms prior to embarking on a cruise. We were easily able to walk to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, shops were nearby plus easy access to the metro which we used to visit the Lama Temple, all in all a great location. We ate dinner in the Sunny Cafe restaurant on the first night and it was uninspiring, ate in Siri Minfu the next night, very close and excellent Beijing Duck, had to wait for a table though. Our rooms were OK but hot and stuffy, our friends room had not been serviced when they entered on arrival and smelled strongly of cigarettes, there were cigarette butts in a coke tin in the room, the management seemed to think that this was normal. On the whole this hotel is good value for a short stay.
