Had s rickshaw ride here and enjoyed. Disappointed that it was a very short ride and even though we paid in advance with our tour operator we were required to give an tip of a specific amount per person regardless.

This was a lovely oasis in bustling Beijing! It is a massive park around a huge Boating lake. When we visited the weather was beautiful so Beijingers were also out in force. We struggled to get on a boat because of this but I think we arrived at peak time (mid-afternoon) which didn’t help. Despite being busy, we still really liked it here though with lots of great photo opportunities and nice scenery.

Such a beautiful park. My favourite bits were the gardens inside which they control how many people can go in at a time meaning for once somewhere in Beijing felt quiet and peaceful

I picked a great time of year to visit - early May. The park was full of blooming flowers and amazing sights. It's a very big park, so you can walk for hours and see lots of beauty. I found it very peaceful and enjoyable. I took Line 6 to the Beihai North station to get there...the park entrance is a short walk from the station.

It was fun being there in the early morning watching the many groups of people doing all types of exercise and dance-exercise, slowly given the elderly age of many of them.

Watch out though, there is no exit down the entire, long western edge of the park.
