We visited here having heard it is one of the best Spanish restaurants in Beijing. We only had a snack and enjoyed the starter dishes we selected, it was busy with many groups of people from all ages, the service was OK and the food taste was nice, we will visit again to try the main courses.

We had lunch in this Spanish restaurant.
This establishment is one of the many houses in the hutong which is really well preserved by refurbishment.
The paella was delicious
One negative note, the service could be improved, 5 waitress are more talking with each other instead of paying attention to their guests.

This place is in my opinion the best Spanish restaurant in Beijing. It is a bit pricey, but Spanish food here always is. We really loved the food: we had tapas and ink paella. The tapas are quite big. A lot of people in the comments are complaining about the service, but we did not have any problem and can't complain about anything. I will definitely be coming back.

I've been here a few times now, but not for a year or so. Visiting again this past weekend I was really sad to see how things have changed.

On the surface it seems the same, the décor and menu appear much the same, but it was the fine details that are not the same. And by that I mean the (all male) waiting staff.

Taking our order they really seemed uninterested. One listened to our order without writing it down, to only require us to repeat ourselves so that he could finally remember it. Try using a pen and paper.

After the main course of over cooked Paella (dry and super soft rice with burnt bits) we ordered some desserts. So keen was our waiter to get away from us that we had to call him back to finish taking the order.

Moreover, we had to then ask the waiter to remove our empty plates. Are you seriously going to serve us dessert with an empty Paella dish still sat on the table? That's the kind of service I expect from a 15rmb per bowl of noodles kind of place place, not from a place charging 299rmb for a seafood Paella.

All these issues are basic things that a server in this type of establishment should automatically do. Pay attention!

Other things of note, the air conditioning was way too cold.

Summary: Food low average, service poor. Won't be coming back.
