We were so lucky to be offered the chance to visit the park by a wonderful lady who is a passionate supporter of this unique place. She not only took us there but was able to tell us so much about the wonderful wildlife.
I had no idea what a vast range of animals can be found in a small park whose perimeter is actually the Capital city of Kenya. Our tour was quite a short one on this occasion due to other commitments but the stand out encounter was definitely meeting a mum and calf black rhino. Amazing for us as we've only seen one rhino in the wild before on previous safaris. Despite being so close to Nairobi, it feels as though you are in a different world. There is much to see there and we hope to go back and spend a lot longer next time.
