Very nice to look over the old Cairo from Mohamed Ali mosque. The mosque it self was very beautiful and near the mosque there is small museum nice to look st the paining pic there. Worth the visit
Wow !!!! From the crusades, up to the Ottomans and down to Mohammed Ali. This place is big, beautiful, lists of history and architecture. A must see. Plan on a couple of hours. Wear good shoes, many uneven ground areas.
this mosque is worth to visit, you can spent about an hour at this mosque, some part you have to removed your shoes and for lady, must cover your arm and no short to enter to specific part of the mosque. the entrace ticket just cost EGP100.
Beautiful and spiritual place where everybody is welcome, and for the second you forget about religion and just enjoy being there.
Breathtaking Mosque in the citadel of Saladin, which includes another smaller Mosque and a museum I think. Entrance of the citadel is about 100 LE.
Try to go in late afternoon to avoid the mid day heat and hopefully have great view of Cairo with the pyramids in the background when the "fog/smug" went away.
The Mosque itself is beautiful and impressive. Huge chandelier and dozens of lights. Take off your shoes and admire the beauty. Staff and security people are friendly. A lot of guides are waiting to offer you a private tour as well. I didn't get a guide but I should've since I am sure I missed out on interesting facts and history. A must see when visiting Cairo.
