Very short: AMAZING ... I had tears in my eyes ... go there ... an adventure from the past, and the code to our society of today.
They have started to crate up some of the objects in the museum for the move to the new one. It's still very interesting and can be crowded. You will need a separate ticket to view the mummies. They only take CASH and the cash machine was out of service when we were there.

The new museum opens in October 2020 so most of the artefacts here are being packed up to transfer. Still more than enough to see and watching the packing is interesting.
Even though it's not the new museum it is still spectacular! It can be overwhelming with all the artifacts so come prepared to see what you're interested in or take your time browsing. King Tut's exhibit does not allow photos so be aware but King Tut's gold mask is worth visiting.
