I spent my birthday there with my wife, everything was handled in a professional way once we checked in, Ms nouran (guest relations) handled everything and we had an upgrade to a suite with a complementary cake.

The hotel has the best nile view that no other hotel can compete with.
Staff are cheerful and welcomed and food is good.

They have the worst and unprofessional management ever that doesn’t care about any customer satisfaction , the parking employee was very rude and impolite from the beginning and ended it up by insulting me

This restaurant does Nota have a good service, because we were discriminated during the service, they wanted to leave the site soon, they never brought my tea, no alcohol that's fine for their culture, but the food was over cooked very poor and simple not really what we spected to have and pay, not very kind waiters, the view is fantastic but the service very awful.

I have probably my worst hotel staying experience ever across hundreds of stays in 5 stars hotels in many countries across the world, which I wanted to share few examples (not to mention All) to let any one willing to stay in this hotel know.

First, despite the wonderful view on the Nile, the furniture is very old, the rooms are smelly, maintenance seems to be not one the hotel priorities.

Service and house keeping, very bad.
Example, I asked for prayers mat they brought it after 3 follow up calls over 1 hour, the person brought it seems like he is angry from my follow up.

Staff, the most unfriendly and unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen.
Example, the staff in the breakfast restaurant are not friendly at all. You can easily feel how angry if you asked for more than one cup of coffee.. the cheapest and lowest quality paper takeaway cups that leaked coffee on my suit. I asked one of them to bring me the omelette he told me in a fairly impolite way ask the one in front of your table.
Another example, I was sitting with the supervision trying to get his approval on a late check out, he got a telephone call from a friend of his, he left me in a very non-respected way sitting in front of him for 7 min talking and laughing with his friend (purely non business talks). He did not accept a free late check out up to 4:00 pm despite I told him it’s due to health problem of mine and that I need to lay on the bed until my driver comes at 4:30 pm .. it then happened by coincidence that When I was checking out at 1:30 one lady was also checking out telling the front desk person that she had a free of charge late check out to 5:00 pm as she “knows” one of the front desk persons but she will do it early.

Cairo is one of the most beautiful cities to visit enjoying the warm welcome from its people .. but absolutely (at least for me) not in Grand Nile Tower

The hotel staff were smiling always, and they acted they are trying to help although the result was below expectations, so this was confusing, they seemed they wanted to help but we got nothing

Booking.com msgs
First of all the venue did not reply at all on the msgs through the booking system, although at the venue they said they got the msgs.

Reception requests
We have informed them at the counter we are on our anniversary, they said you should have contacted us earlier….although they did not reply on the booking system and the day before I have a call recorded with them with a phone hassle
We requested a specific hotel side view room on booking .com and at the reception, we did not get it although the hotel was not fully booked
After a pressure from us, the hotel said they will see what they can do about the anniversary, but one of the communication links inside the hotel dropped the msg and we did not get anything on time, although we got it after a second pressure by us again
For the anniversary we got a cake which in no way was fresh and we gave it back in full after we took a bite, it was not a 5 star hotel quality or even 2 star restaurant

cleanliness
The cleanliness of the room is not a 5 star hotel, it is not a 5 star quality bathroom , floors, furniture, the furniture is not like the image, which is I think 10 years old

Amenities
There was no ironing tools as advertised.

Room tip: do not trust photos listed by the venue
