If you're looking for fantastic views of Cairo, truly helpful and friendly staff, cheap prices, and a safe place to lay your head at night, this may be just the place for you. However, if your mood can be altered by broken glass in the entryway, irregular elevators, walks up grimy and dark flights of stairs (elevator stops two stories short of the hotel but doesn't always make it that far up), and overall dinginess, you may not want to make this your choice for a stay in Cairo.

We were particularly disappointed that our request for ensuite bathrooms wasn't honored and with the way that was handled. We'd known we had shared bathrooms the first night, but weren't told until the second day, when we'd already packed up everything to move, that we weren't really going to get to change rooms. When later in the day, someone in our group was having a bout of illness, that shared bathroom problem was a real inconvenience.

The shared bathroom was, happily, kept clean with a fairly dry floor, and the ceiling fans, while wobbly, did seem to really cool the rooms on the very hot days we spent in Cairo.

Fantastic hotel, 5 minute walk from Egyptian museum and Tahrir Square. Highlights of this hotel include superb views over the river Nile and city from its 15th floor location, alongside extremely clean and comfortable rooms. The service in the hotel is truly excellent, staff are extremely attentive to your personal travel desires and will ensure that you see and do everything that you wish to, alongside offering useful travel reccomendations using local insight. Driver Mohammed conducts great and interesting, personalised tours of all the highlights within the city and nearby areas. Reception staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs- Mohammed Ali especially makes you feel very welcome and taken careof throughout your trip. Extremely happy with this hotel choice!

Room Tip: Double room, city view, ensuite.

Hotel is very good for not too selective people. People friendly, you can find internet and breakfast. Hotel is situated in confortable part of the city near the Historical museum of Cairo. You can find also a driver and trip advisor here. My trip driver was Raaouf. Very good guy, knows english well, knows all the places and he can give good advices, even help to bargain.

I stayed in ISIS HOTEL for four days with my family during our recent tour to Cairo. I found this hotel located in a central location to reach all the main attractions, close to metro and Nile river as well. All staff were very helpful to, Specially Mr.Madhat and Mr. Muhammed Ali.

The hotel is just around the corner from Tahrir Square and National Museum. Immediate impact maybe not good - central cairo is busy and noisey; the hotel is in tower block surrounded by car repair shops. BUT the staff are extremely friendly and have good knowledge of english. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. A metro station is close. And good value exersions can be arranged with knowledgeable guides or you can do your own thing - no pressure whatsoever. Try the local kosheri restaurant (abu tark) - amazing value 10 egyptian pounds for great meal. Dont worry about security in cairo; I met nothing but lots of helpfful people. Its a great place to come.

Room Tip: ask for room with ensuite facilities. some rooms have private bathrooms; some have shared facilities...
