Piano is behind City Hall, just off Freedom Square. It's toward the end, as you leave the square, but worth the walk as it is probably the best place on Tabidze Street--actually, it is just one long block. There is a small veranda for outdoor dining. Inside are hardwood floors, subdued lighting and white tablecloths. It's quiet enough to have a real conversation, an atmosphere punctuated only by pleasant--yes--piano music. Service is good and the wine list adequate and reasonably priced. The food is as close to genuine Italian as you will find in Tbilisi. Some of the pastas are made in-house, and the tortellini that I had certainly seemed that they had been. Another feature is what I guess you would call pizza bread--order it with the fresh antipasto.
