This is a 4star low-level resort like hotel not far from town.
We were greeted by a member of staff dressed in a traditional costume and blowing a conch shell.
Reception was rather slow because we arrived rather early.
The rooms were spacious and clean and the bathrooms were fine. There is free wifi, tea and coffee and a flat-screen TV.
The hotel grounds are well worth a walk.
The restaurant is big and serves good meals including a good breakfast.
There is another bar/restaurant area next to the lobby.
Getting to town is easy and is walk able but in the hot sun you might prefer one of the taxis contracted to the hotel.
A very good place to stay.

Room tip: Lagoon view rooms are the best

Stayed here for seven nights, resort was a great 4 star place, staff were friendly and room was spacious and clean. Pool was a good size and there were lots of activities for the kids. Kids club ladies were great, making arts and crafts and traditional skirts with the kids. Grounds were well maintained and catamarans were fun to take out into the lagoon. Kids eat free with any main meal which is was great. A few negatives
1. Very limited amount of pool loungers - if you didn’t get to the pool early you had to sit on the ground.
2. Breakfast food and selection was disappointing - exactly the same food for 7 days straight and food pretty bland (although made to order omelette were great).
Overall a relaxing stay - surprisingly not too busy with a handy location close to town.

We had 3 days at the holiday inn the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful as we had paid for our parents room as a gift the lady was wonderful. We stayed in a bungalow the accommodation was beautiful and perfect. It was our daughters birthday the awesome staff heard the family wish her happy birthday about 10 minutes later all the staff came out with a cake and singing happy birthday to her.Not to mention the man who place burnt sticks into the shape of a heart saying happy birthday Emily. Highly recommend.

My wife and I booked an over water villa and if you looking for a location to listen to the lagoon and romance then you must book a villa it would be the only place in Port Vila to look at. Reception friendly and effective, the restaurant was clean and breakfast was delicious. Might be the biggest menus I have ever seen and variety was impressive. Will be back, thanks to all the team and Florence in the F&B department.

The grand entrance to the Holiday Inn Resort Vanuatu would suggest that something special lays beyond.

Without doubt the friendliness of the staff to genuinely please, the French theme to their food and wine list and the resort layout certainly support this first impression.

However it’s not until you step behind the security of this structure to find the hidden and tranquil emerald lagoon that flows through the golden grass lined sandy beaches.

Truly this is a remarkable place and probably one of the most idealistic resorts imaginable
