Outstanding food, whether it be Japanese oriented or New York style pizza.
Our first visit there was for our 30th wedding anniversary, and we were certainly not disappointed or left hungry. Avi and his amazing team (most of who are his family) treated us to an array of dishes highlighting the flavours of the pacific. The evening comprised of Miso soup, fresh Ahi salad with carpaccio tuna, assorted tempura vegetables / fish, Chirashi fish bowl and sushi rolls. Flavours popped and the freshness was obvious.
We returned several times during our 2 week stay, and Avi always found a way to make room, even when we forgot to book a table. We tried pretty much everything on the menu, and the Niuean Pizza is outstanding. Nothing disappoints......
We had a fishing trip with Cliff from Niue Wahoo Fishing Charters and we returned to land with a fresh yellowfin tuna......off to Kai Ika and let Sarah (Avi's daughter) work her magic on it for the following evenings meal. It was unbelievable, so precise, so flavoursome, and looked as good as it tasted.
Avi also has his own micro brewery, which serves fresh unique Niuean beers and ciders, a must is the sampler rack of 5 glasses, a great way to find your favourite tipple.
For those who are adventurous and like late night entertainment, Avi's ark (behind Kai Ika) is the place to be on a Thursday night, and if you are lucky, Avi might take the karaoke microphone and belt out a few classics.
The team are just brilliant, work long hours, but their passion shines through with their food and hospitality.
Cannot wait to return for more delicious decadent soul satisfying food and company.
