I am genuinely surprised at the reviews of this hotel. We are regulars at the Jumeriah group in Dubai and this Hotel doesn’t match up to the groups standard.
We have faced long queues at breakfast each day, we haven’t been asked if we wanted tea / coffee, our plates haven’t been cleared, plates are missing at the food counters, there are no staff to ask if you want / need anything. The Beach / pool area is old fashioned and needs an upgrade, we weren’t asked if we needed any beach towels, the umbrellas are too light for any wind and fall, the whole area is disheveled,some of the sun beds are broken. You have to wait a long time for any service. We had to call three times for bed linen for our daughters bed, from 8am to 10pm at night. The room gives you a nespresso machine with three generic coffee capsules.
In October last year we had an effortless and sublime stay at The St Regis and this hotel is a completely different level. It appears to be understaffed. I wouldn’t choose the chain again.More
