Its a cozy hotel, with a great location, just near the beach and zaytouna bay where u can enjoy a nice evening walk, dinner or just a coffee with friends. Its also not far away from shopping areas and downtown of Beirut. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and breakfast was variant.

Highly recommend the hotel for been suitable located to all the best restaurants and entertainment spots in Beirut. It was also an ideal spot to go for long walks/jogs.
Staff are very helpful and service second to none.
Breakfast was varied with local and continental food and served by pool side.
We all had a great time and decided we would be back on our next visit to Beirut.

The Monroe hotel holds a decent standard with clean rooms (many of which are smoker rooms, sometimes hard to find a non-smoker room), but there is clearly room for improvement. The restaurant - which serves good breakfast & ok dinner - is way too big, making it less of a cosy meeting place. There is no irons in the rooms, and the only one they have available is in a room next to the elevators with dirty floors making late night ironing less attractive... The rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and the location is good. Ok hotel for a mid-range/budget+ stay.

I stayed at the hotel for a conference across the street, which is impossible to cross due to heavy traffic and no pedestrian facilities. I had to take a taxi to cross the street.

My room was quite good and clean, but the towels were frayed. The minibar was empty and not used.
Some colleagues complained that the NON SMOKING room they got was smelling so badly that was unbearable.

The breakfast was quite acceptable and I could find different kinds of cheese and Lebanese specialities.

Room tip: If you do not smoke make sure that you ask for a non smoking room at reservation.

Having stayed at this hotel for over 10 years it is now unfortunately run down.

Very disappointing as the room we received upon arrival was not clean, nightclub noise drowning most nights!

Not one for a calm night!!
