I went to Tavrij on the advice of some colleagues. I should have checked Tripadvisor before... The room:
Fairly big, there was a room was a double bed and a single bed. A small living room with a kitchen attached. A bathroom and a hall.
The cleanliness of the rooms was quite ok but I must say that the bathroom was not at all taken care of. The putty around the bathtub was disgusting and full of mold. Brrrk.
The windows couldn't close completely so there was always a bit of air going through and the noise of the express way with it. The TV had one foreign channel: ZDF in German. All the rest was persian.
In the bedroom, the beds were too small for me. My feet were always outside of the bed. The sheets are from another planet (planet 1970s)
There was a computer in the room but it didn't have a keyboard.
I couldn't connect to the internet with my own laptop or my phone. It simply didn't work.

Amenities:
There is a gym and a swimming pool and a sauna. I went to the gym which was deep down in the basement. It was impossible to breath. I ran on the treadmill for only 1k and i was sweating like a pig. The equipment were scattered everywhere in a total mess although there was a guy working there but doing absolutely nothing at all except eyeballing me. That was awkward. I didn't check the swimming pool or the sauna.
The breakfast was ok, nothing outstanding, but ok.

Check-in check-out
Check-in went very well in the middle of the night. One strange thing, they really wanted to keep my passport and I didn't really feel comfortable with that knowing that the police can be a bit difficult to deal with.
I decided to check-out early (after 2 days instead of 7) and they did absolutely everything they could to make me stay. They asked if everything was ok about 2 billion times. They offered to negotiate the price. They kept asking ans asking and all I wanted was to get closer to my office and go to Rammtin hotel (10min by walk from my office). They didn't want to believe me and started being difficult. they made me stay an extra night arguing that because i decided to check out so late they would charge me an extra night, blablablabla... So I checked-out on the next morning and still they asked again if there was a problem. So I said that if they would ask one more time, it would become a problem. They gave me invoice, I paid and I was gone.
the price was way to high for this sort of place.
150USD per night. Just way too expensive for that standing.

Room Tip: Avoid a room with a view on the express way.

I have traveled to Tehran 2 times in 2009 and have stayed in 3 different hotels and seen many more. I must say that tavrij is the the best one ... though a bit expensive...
I have uploaded a few snaps of the room through which you can understand the quality of rooms it offers. The room i stayed in was 1bedroom apartment that included 1 Bedroom, 1 living room and a modular kitchen ... other things worth to mention are :
1) very neat and tidy rooms.
2) very nice service.
3) swimming pool, jacuzi and steam and sauna centre.
4) free mini bar ( non alcoholic obviously )
5) modular kitchen with amenities like microwave, gas, utensils, refrigerator etc.
6) PC withFree Broadband Internet

Advice : Please carry USD as all global credit cards do not work in whole of Iran.
