The Roman Amphitheater is in the heart of Amman and it is truly spectacular. It almost springs out of nowhere just after the souks, and its a great place to just sit and watch the world go by. With the citadel, these are the 2 must do things in Amman.

Very interesting old Roman theatre in the center of the old city. I recommend a visit. A small fee to enter the steps but can be viewed from the park for free.

One of most beautiful places in Amman. Def is a number 1 touristic spot! Just try to visit it in early morning when there's no human traffic.

To be in the middle of Amman and standing in ancient ruins was mind blowing. A must see for anyone visiting Amman.

The Roman Theater is undeniably an architectural feat worth a visit. Nevertheless, it is excruciatingly difficult to capture a good image from within the paid area. One would fare better finding a perch to take a picture from afar or capturing a picture from the Citadel. The entry cost also covers two museums that flank the main theater. However, these museums are not worth a visit, lacking both information labels and exciting artifacts. It is further advised that a traveler check out the Odium. Though smaller than the main theater, it has many nooks and crannies that an eager traveler can explore. Furthermore, it offers some space for travelers to reflect upon their day or, more simply, rest if they so please.
