Three of us went there for dinner. We each had separate dietary restrictions which can be challenging. We decided to each get the 7-course tasting menu each one tailor-made for each of us. This was such a nice surprise since in our experience most places are not at all flexible when it comes to special requests or alterations.

Simply put, the food was fantastic. We each got similar dishes though slightly different variations due to our different dietary restrictions. None of us felt short-changed or envious of the others dish. The place itself was very nicely designed and always like to see an open kitchen. Our server Natalia was also great and was very patient and understanding about our dietary issues. The other staff was also very professional and courteous. Although it is not cheap it was totally worth it.

A chef, friend of ours recommended so we looked up at professional reviews and were quite disappointed. Anyway, it was a talented chef's recommendation and we don't argue over.
Just great.
We stayed there for four hours, on the bar, enjoyed every single dish, especially the Corn Dog and the unforgettable Pumpkin Jam Ravioli. We also took the black Sea Food Pizza, Shrimp Burger and Jin & Tonic Tartar (great, great and great).
Staff was excellent, friendly and professional. Looking forward for the next visit.

Popina was on our "to do" list for quite some time now, and last week we had a chance to visit. We opted for the seven course tasting menu, which was a great choice. By the third dish, it was clear to us that Popina is on a par with the best restaurants in Israel. But from then, the remaining dishes managed to change our mind: Popina is not "one of the best", it is by far "the best" restaurant in Israel. The only other restaurant that used to be on such a high level was Meir Adoni's Katit which had a great tasting menu, but it was closed last year.

Chef Orel is not afraid of doing crazy experiments, and these experiments play out extremely well. Just as an example, the creme brulee with saffron was heavenly, a masterpiece that can be compared to the best deserts of two and three star Michelin restaurants...

I must also mention Gilad, the manager of Popina, who went out of his way to make sure everyone enjoyed the dinner. It is quite rare to find a restaurant manager in Israel that is evidently very passionate about his work, and beyond the facade of politeness an manners you see that he deeply cares about each and every detail and takes them personally.

Orel and Gilad, Kol Hakavol for the great work, and I am looking forward to seeing you again soon!

This restaurant has amazing food but very unique. I'm kind of picky sometimes, like if the description sounds really different I usually stay away , but this restaurant it's hard to do because everything on the menu is unique and different that you won't find anywhere else. So my husband and I ordered 4 dishes to share , and we LOVED every single one of them. I was really happy that I got of out my comfort zone and got to try all the delicious food. In fact, my husband wanted to order another portion of one of the items, it was that good. The service was great as well, attentive and friendly . Would definitely return here again. Expensive but most definitely worth it !

We were 5 adults . First course were exellant
Main course :
Kanaloni very small dish
Fish was dry like the dessert
Duck the side dish was not tasty at all
The beef fillet was served after mill was completed ...
The bone marrow was cold ,, (188 NIS for the dish )

Non of the waiters ask during the meal how is the food , no one apology for the delay of the last dish

When we complained they offer deserts, that we did not accept ,, we had 50% discount for the fish and 20% for the beef

We will not return
