The visit began with a poor experience. This hotel was booked by my organisation, a UK university, and paid for 6 weeks in advance. On arrival I was asked for the credit card used (via booking.com) to make the booking, a requirement they do not post in their Terms and Conditions. Since this was a corporate credit card I could not provide it and, despite having an invoice showing that no payment was due, they were quite intransigent. They seriously suggested that a UK university could be using a fraudulent credit card. Resolving this put people in my departmental office to a great deal of unnecessary work. The hotel is not geared for third-party payments so unless you are booking directly I strongly suggest avoiding. Otherwise the hotel is, well average. The rooms are OK - adequately furnished though not especially comfortable. Some may have good views - mine stared at the wall of the adjacent building. Some people on reception are friendly and helpful but others can’t be bothered to acknowledge you when passing through the foyer. When my wife phoned form abroad she was told she’d have to ring again so they could answer on a different phone. The breakfast is poor with very little choice and not particularly fresh, available in a dingy basement. The location is good - near the gentrified old port area and about 30 min walk from Tel Aviv Centre, which you can do via lively Dizengoff or along the coastal path. Overall for the price this might be worth considering but they need to improve customer service and payment handling efficiency.

I found this to be a good hotel. Tea/coffee 24 hours per day. Good wifi. Good location near the beach. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. Good air-conditioning. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

As with most hotels in Tel Aviv, they tend to be in the higher bracket price wise. I think in general all hotels in the main cities in Israel are overpriced. The Port, however, is a friendly small boutique style in a very good location. The hotel is very clean, the chap cleaning was very thorough and seemed to take pride in his work. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not big yet not small, delivering just a cosy ambience that feels comfortable. The breakfast is adequate with juices, bread, cereals etc. It is not a large hotel and this works to your advantage, I have stayed in other hotels along the beach with a poorer decor and miserable staff where you would pay more. Average here depending on season $150 per night.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the main traffic

Stayed here for 4 nights, as I was attending a conference in the Port area. Everything about the hotel was outstanding, from the moment I checked in (which was really late, around 22:00) to the time I left. The team allowed a late check out at no extra cost, arranged a fixed price taxi to the airport, which was much cheaper than the metered price I paid on way there.

I went running most mornings and the hotel is seconds away from the beach paths that extend more than 10km along beachfront.

In terms of accommodation, it’s comparable with the big international chains. Breakfast was continental but generally good, and the place has a chilled vibe. Definitely recommend and will stay here again next time I’m in Tel Aviv.
