“Perfect Jerusalem Hideaway”

I stayed at this cozy apartment for two nights in July. The unit has recently been fully renovated with sleek, modern finishes and has a very powerful air conditioner (thankfully!). While not large, every detail is perfect and immaculate. The apartment even had a small terrace facing a courtyard. Location was great, an pleasant walk to most of the town center and near public transportation. The only slight negatives of note are: A. that the apartment is up two flights of stairs - this was fine for me but people who overpack and shlep a lot of luggage should take note; B. If you are looking to eat in the apartment a often, there is a breakfast bar but no full table. Avi who was our liaison was extremely helpful and accessible. I would definitely stay here again!

Dear guest,

Thank you for your review. We tried to equip the kitchenette with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, pot, A frying pan etc.
I wonder what else is needed for "a proper meal". Please share your Insights with me, so I can give my guests the best experience.
We wish to host you next time.

“New Boutique Apartment near Old City”

Lovely bright, spotlessly clean apartment that looks exactly like the photos. Loved the modern decor; the pod coffee machine, the fluffy cream towels, hair dryer, down pillows and comforter. It is boutique hotel living at a very affordable price.

The apartment has everything you need for a short stay. We stayed for 5 nights and loved that we could eat breakfast and dinner in the apartment, there are lots of small grocery shops, bakeries and supermarkets all close by. We ate breakfast out on our private balcony.

The wifi was fast and we had no outages.

The electronic shutters do not show in the photos. I was concerned that there were only sheer curtains but Lauren responded immediately to my question to advise of the shutters. The shutters really do block out the light for sleeping.

We walked to the Old City, the Old Train Station, the Makhane Yehuda market where we bought fresh fruit, cheese, bread and wine. A taxi to Yad Vashem was only 30 shekels.
The apartment really is in an excellent location.

The bed is so comfortable that I want to get one like this for ourselves.

“If you're lucky, you can rent this apartment.”

We traveled in Jordan not knowing when we would enter Israel so we came upon this rental late. However, between the two people handling the contract we managed to make it happen at short notice. Since it's a new place, short notice might not always work out. I suspect when news gets out this studio apartment will fill up quickly. Lauren handled all the email contact, responding very promptly. Avi takes care of everything else. And what a smooth property manager he has been! We've never felt so well taken care of in a foreign country.

The apartment is like having a big room in a boutique hotel, only with lots of extras. The kitchen is well-equipped and we managed to make wonderful meals with produce bought in the vast array of shops and supermarkets in the immediate area. Given its excellent location, we planned visits in such a way that we could cater for ourselves for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bathroom is spacious, very clean and has lots of hot water. The whole space is well serviced with heating and cooling facilities. The bed is superb and there are is ample bedding supplied. There is a hair dryer and more than enough towels.

In terms of location, I don't think it could be any better. It takes only about 30 minutes to get to the Old Town and the Jaffa Gate. The walk is easy and there's a way to do it via a wonderful shopping mall. Even less distance in other directions takes you to the Israel Museum, Yad Vashem, the Knesset and a few other delightful spots of interest that Avi brought to our attention. We didn't need public transit and if a taxi is required the cost is only between 20 to 30 shekels.

On top of all this, the apartment is located to the rear of the building with a balcony overlooking private gardens. The really nice thing about all that is that there is virtually no street noise. We slept-in on our first day, things being as quiet as they are!

If you are a couple and wish to base yourselves in Jerusalem, I can wholeheartedly recommend this apartment rental.
