Even after many similar exhibits of human suffering from brutality around the world
one can't help but to pause and swallow hard.It makes you think, where is the guarantee
it will not happen again somewhere else.Only by remembering and identifying the evil
we may collectively and successfully stop another Holocaust from taking place on our
planet. This museum is up to the task.Must see, very sad.....

Take your time. Dont skip the outdoor sections! The hall of children is eerie and beautiful. the walls outside of families who save people is awe inspiring. The views are amazing.

One of the best sites in our tour. Very well done. I would allocate a minimum of three hours to go through the inside and maybe an hour to stroll the grounds. It’s very well organized and easy to follow through the museum.

As you would expect, this is a very emotional museum to visit. We spent a few hours there but you could easily be there longer.

Must visit Yad Vashem. Comprehensive exhibit on Holocaust. Do not miss the memorials on the grounds (especially the children's memorial) after the museum. Very moving- we spent 5 hours here.

This museum is a memorial to the six million Jews who were systematically murdered on an industrial scale, along with other groups in Germany and their conquered territories, starting with socialists and Communists, Roma, homosexuals and different religious groups who would not conform to Nazi ideology.
Yad Vashem commemorates the victims of the holocaust, tells us the story of a defeated nation after 'World War 1' that falls under the lies that look to find scapegoats after Germany's aggression and eventual defeat by the Allies. Yad Vashem honours the memory of the murdered millions & reminds us to learn from this and never forget!
I did not go around with a tour group as the installation takes you on a well organised journey through the exhibit rooms that lie to the left and right of a beautiful central concourse. There are many wonderful memorials in the mountainside gardens when you leave the museum building, including the 'Avenue of the Righteous'
It is easy to get to Yad Vashem, simply buy a ticket for the 'light-rail' and get off at Mount Hertzel, where you then cross the road to a junction and wait at a very ordinary looking bus stop for the complementary shuttle bus to the visitor center.

It was very hard to see and listen to a lot of the information. On many occasions I was moved to tears! The display of shoes was haunting.

Most unbelievable experience in my life. Spent five hours and still did not complete the tour. Next time I visit Israel I want to go back to see the rest of the tour.
