After reading many reviews of this hotel for which I stayed for 5 nights most of the reviewers were spot on. I liked the historic hotel and our room was updated and facing the King David Hotel so was adequate for the price charged. The problem was the housekeeping couldn't replace toilet paper, towels, soap or coffee. I had to call several times to get those items brought to the room. The breakfast was very mediocre but the outside area was a nice place to have our mediocre breakfast with the several cats that lived there. NADEEN, the grill cook was kind and cooked a good egg which helped with the rest of the average breakfast offerings. The front desk staff were not service oriented so had some problems with communication especially at the end of our stay. If you want a shuttle to the airport as we did, you might what to do it yourself and save some money as the hotel seemed to take a kickback on the price of the shuttle and taxi service for which they quoted twice the average going rate. I asked for a shuttle to the airport and was told to wait until the morning I was needing it but when I asked again was told it was too late to get a shuttle as they need 24 hours. We did like the option to use the gym while we were there but they did not provide towels so if you use the towels from your room you might not have any to take a shower with when you get back from the gym. If you want good service and an elevator you can fit yourself and your luggage in when using this is not the hotel for you.
