Found the hotel staff nice and accommodating but the spa on the Ground floor is seriously terrible in appearance. It looks like the last time the place was cleaned and renovated was 1981! Cracked tiles, smoke and soot covered walls and no anti-slip mats around the Jacuzzi spa, sauna or steam room areas, lots of water all over the floors. Would have been more enjoyable if the hotel took pride in keeping the place more sanitary in appearance.

Stayed here while on our church pilgrimage of the Holy Land. We thought the room was excellent and had everything we needed. Nice toiletries. All of these European showers leak a bit due to the shower glass not coming over the tub far enough but we piled our dirty towels over any water in the floor so the cleaning staff did not have to soak up the water. Used room service several times for drinks after dinner and they delivered within 10 minutes.
Food was very good in the dining room and there was plenty of variety. Salad options were delicious and the desserts were great. As a vegetarian we had plenty to eat. Fresh fruit at every meal was wonderful. Had a few small stores just outside of the lobby entrance to pick up souvenirs.
Would stay here again if we returned to Jerusalem.

We had a problem with the air condition and Meny solved it by upgrading our room.
Everybody was very nice, good breakfast, beautiful view. I enjoyed a good massage and the spa area, and my husband enjoyed the pool.

Room tip: The suite was excellent

Dan Hotel Jerusalem
This is a typical tourist hotel, a bit off the main area, access to train which will take you to old city however it is a hike to train. It was cold, windy and nasty rain so it made our walk a royal pain and we were totally soaked by time we got back to hotel from train. Cab fare is appx $25-26 from old city to hotel. Hotel itself is fine, food, accommodations etc all ok. There is not much around the hotel, however it has a great view over the city. Staff was helpful no issues there, everything else was fine no complaints. Price wise it is mid range.

This hotel is very classy. The location is very safe and it is close to the shopping district. They have souvenir shopping in the hotel. The food is good and have a reasonable bar downstairs. I recommend staying here.
