This hotel is only 100 m away from Golgata, and the wall to the old town. It is safe to og for a walk in the evening. The staff is exellent and the food is something i also can recommend. The price for the wine is ok

Room tip: Top floor have less unit noise

we stayed here for 3 nights, it was super clean and bright. The staff were very friendly and attentive and helpful. The location was excellent...between the Damascus gate and the Heron gate of the old city.
Rooms were large and bright, with safe, fridge and kettle, the bathroom was large with a double walkin shower, toiletries provided
Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice to suit all tastes
I would highly recommend this hotel

Stayed 3 nights here, it was superb, from checking in, and being brought a cold glass of home made lemonade, to walking through the light and airy reception to out room (138)
A triple room , for only myself and Tanya, it was fresh and clean and with aircon, heating and mini fridge and kettle in the room. Walk in double shower and toiletries, and a safe in the room At the bar there was a large iced water dispenser to help yourself to.
The view from the window was of the old walls, great atmosphere and you could hear the calls to prayer, the hotel is situated a couple of mins walk to the Damascus gate and the herod gate..into the old city
Breakfast was a feast, so much choice and great quality food, caters for everyone. Cant praise the staff enough, we were leaving at 5.30 am, the front desk arranged breakfast boxes for us and to have tea and coffee available for us
Would recommend this hotel

Room tip: a view over the old walls everytime

McCabe had warned us about the steps to reception as my sister is fairly disabled but it was fine. We had a nice room overlooking the walls of the old city , comfortable beds and very unusually and a nice bonus a very long bath , not your usual hotel child’s size one you can barely sit in ! Great for a soak after long days of walking in the cold. If being super fussy the shower / water tap will need replacing as loose but it didn’t bother us . The food was delicious and so much of it. We loved the strict times food was served as felt it gave us all great guidelines , no hanging about. It is quite crowded at mealtimes but wonderful people watching as so many differing nationalities and religions. The hotel is busy bustling and beautifully placed for exploring Jerusalem. We loved the call to prayer as there is a mosque next door and some moaned about the bus station also near by. We just said get over it we are in a busy city centre . The only thing that was preventing deep sleep the first two nights were the feral cats ! Over all a great stay and can’t wait to return.

Our tour party of 19 stayed here for 6 nights because it was very close to the walls round Jerusalem. We were welcomed with a soft drink, which was very refreshing and a meal even though we didn't arrive until late in the evening.
We ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and all the food was excellent. There was a wide range of enticing buffet dishes with enough variation to ensure that we didn't get fed up. The dining room gets a bit cramped when the hotel is full. There was traditional dancing as entertainment one evening during our stay.
The hotel is a mid range hotel which offers reasonably priced accommodation without excessive luxury. We stayed in room 303 which was reasonably well equipped with an in-room safe, a small fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and enough storage space and hangers. There were no bedside lights controlled by switches reachable from the bed which meant having to get out of bed to switch them off - not a major problem but a nuisance. Several of our party stayed in other rooms which had a separate shower. It may be that room 303 was on the list for refurbishment in the future.
There is no iron or ironing board in the room, but an ironing service is available, presumably for a fee although I didn't check this.
The reason why I've only awarded 4 stars is because every time we used the shower which was in the bath, water leaked down the side of the bath to soak the floor despite our careful arrangement of the shower curtain. The water was leaking from somewhere else. Despite reporting this to the front desk on 3 separate occasions, nothing was done. Judging by the water stained wooden architrave near the bath, we weren't the first people to have this problem.

Room tip: Some rooms overlook a large bus park which means that there is a lot of reversing beeper noise early in the morning.
