Danny is very knowledgeable and well spoken. He took us across history from biblical times, through the middle ages, the Napoleonic era and on to modern times. Holy sites, ancient cities, archaeological digs, museums and vineyards. We did it all!

This was a perfect tour from the time I made the arrangements by email till receiving the prompt receipt on our final payment.

Danny inquired about our interests and preferences and adapted the schedule to suit them (including a visit to an art gallery in Jaffa, a vegan picnic lunch in nature and a wine tasting). Although we visited Israel many times, we learned a lot we did not know on the day.

Danny is knowledgeable in archeology as it relates to both current and ancient history and his stories link the places we visited to the scriptures. He was fun to be with, his car was comfortable, and I look forward to our next tour with Danny!

Danny Herman is a terrific guide for anyone interested in the history and archaeology of Israel. He is well versed in both Jewish and Christian sites. For my two days with Danny, we spent our time south of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv at Herodium, Sde Boker and Rachel's Tomb and drove the Burma Road, a little visited piece of history from Israel's fight for independence when the Jordanians controlled the road from the west into Jerusalem from the hilltop fortress of Latrun. The Israelis figured out a route into Jerusalem that could not be seen (and therefor shelled) from Latrun. A fascinating side trip that was uniquie Danny's knowledge and great personality added greatly to the experience. I heartily recommend him to anyone looking for a private guide in Israel.

We just finished a 5 day tour with Danny and his driver Tulli. He is not only an all around great guy but he is extremely knowledgeable about archeological matters as well as detailed explanations of all the areas we visited and areas along to way. He relates to all ages (our group was 6 to 75) he keeps you busy, however he is so interesting you don’t even notice! Learned so much and have wonderful memories! Thank You Danny!!
