Only 2 minutes walk from the bustling Salah Al Din street, 5 mins from the Nablus Road bus station (for Ramallah etc) and less than 10 minutes from the Damascus Gate and the Old City, this hotel is amazingly quiet and peaceful. You may hear a little music practice from the Palestinian institute of music next door, but you'll have to open your balcony door to hear the Muezzin's call to prayer.
Simple, but beautifully clean rooms, with kettle, tea/coffee, complimentary fruit and a fridge - not something you will find in many mid-price Jerusalem hotels.
Very courteous, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent breakfasts (including a cappucino machine - again, not something I've encountered elsewhere in this range of hotel). Busy, popular restaurant serving excellent Palestinian dishes, and you get 10% off for being a resident. Would highly recommend this hotel, and will certainly stay there again next time I'm in Jerusalem.

They serve delicious and authentic Italian food that even Italians enjoy. And of course Palestinian dishes. They serve alcohol and make good coffee. A place worth visiting. The restaurant is definitely not cozy but the staff is nice and friendly.

Wonderful old Jerusalem hotel. Needs some TLC, but lots of atmosphere and history, very comfortable mattresses, superb (Palestinian) breakfast, great staff and - perhaps most importantly - home to the Azzahra Restaurant, which has the best pizza in town. A favourite!

This old-world hotel is located within walking distance to the Old Town of Jerusalem. The Palestinian atmosphere at the hotel and its restaurant was warm and courteous. The arab food was 'different' and very tasty.

This restaurant is in an unpromising turning off Al Zahra Street in East Jerusalem but is a great place to eat. The menu includes a good variety of pizzas alongside delicious Palestinian dishes and also a few pasta favourites. The staff are all very helpful. At times the restaurant gets very busy so service times slow down, but the food is well worth waiting for. The restaurant also serves a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. The meals are good value for money. We ate there three times last week and were very happy each time.
