This hotel has the most beautiful surrounding in Israel. Secluded amidst the green Carmel forests, you get a lot of fresh air, and potential for real peace and quite. We also loved the fact that its decor is calm and traditional, not flamboyant in any way. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, and it felt like any detail was thought of in order to give the best service (like giving a bottle of water at the entrance gate for anyone coming back from a walk).
But, we got a room with no bathtub, just a shower. That was a bit of a disappointment in a spa resort. The hotel was in full capacity and it was well noticed, while more people were spending the day in the spa even though they were not guests of the hotel. The result was a lot of noise all over the spa area, which was heard even within the treatment rooms. I think that the hotel should make sure that its paying guests are getting the peace and quite they signed up for before filling up the place with crowds of people.
Food was good, but the selection was less varied than in past years. It felt more like an average high scale hotel food than like a healthy and high scale selection.
All in all, lovely hotel, a unique place in Israel. Its a pity it is not as exclusive as it used to be.

Whilst the Hotel, and certainly our room, is now dated in terms of it's decor, it is still a great place to chill out / rest, because there are no children allowed in the hotel, and the amenities are fabulous.
The remote location in the Carmel Forest is beautiful, and we enjoyed daily walks from the hotel in the fresh and clean air.
The quality and choice of food remains excellent, and the service is pretty good in the
main.
Our stay this time was greatly enhanced by the efforts of Yehuda Danino, who did everything possible to ensure that I was able to say daily prayers in the Hotel .
I should also like to mention Fatina from the Spa, whose massage was truly excellent.
We will certainly return !

Stayed at the hotel for two nights. Food was extremely delicious, room was clean and organized, spa was relaxing and staff were the nicest. No kids allowed and phones are not permitted outside of rooms- which means that the hotel is always quiet!
The only ONE thing that could be improved is the fact that there is nothing to eat after 10:30pm. If you get hungry at night, you should make sure you bring snacks from home. However, even though they do not serve food at night, staff went out of their way to make sure we had something to eat.
Besides that, everything about this hotel is absolutely perfect. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our one night stay at the Spa. It unusual to find such a beautiful kosher spa with great food and amenities. I did not have any problem with the management as alluded to in many reviews and any of our needs (including request for Glatt Kosher meals) were promptly and politely addressed. The rooms, spa services and grounds were beautiful. The food was creative and nicely presented. Really recommend for a relaxing and romantic get-away.

I loved the idea of being able to go to a spa and being able to eat there (as we keep kosher). The food was good and nicely presented although the selection was limited (besides the large salad buffet). I would have loved to get a cup of coffee early in the AM before breakfast but one needed to have the waiter get this for you. There is a synagogue on the premises (although we barely scraped together a minyan). The spa treatments book up quickly and I would advise booking them prior to your arrival. You need to make dinner reservations. The time to call for these reservations opens at 4. I would advise calling around 4 as calls later will give you the only the earliest and latest times. The gym was adequate and the indoor pool was nice. The trails outside yielded nice vistas and they provide you with a map and water.
